SF Guide 02

Setup Wizard.

11 steps from blank slate to live storefront โ€” store name, branding, policies, payment, and go live.

Storefront

Storefront is included with Inner Circle and Enterprise plans (plus admin/staff) โ€” your own branded shop at yourname.shop.meshx.uk or a custom domain, with Stripe checkout and digital delivery built in. Open Storefront โ†’

Flow
The wizard runs once when you first open Storefront. You can skip steps and come back โ€” progress is saved. After going live, every setting is editable from Storefront โ†’ Settings.
01Identity

Store name & URL

FieldWhat to enter
Store nameYour brand name as customers will see it, e.g. Casual Classics. Shown in the header, browser tab, and email receipts.
Store URL slugThe subdomain for your free .meshx.store address, e.g. casualclassics โ†’ casualclassics.meshx.store. Lowercase, no spaces, letters and numbers only.
Permanent
The URL slug cannot be changed after going live. Choose carefully โ€” your custom domain can always point elsewhere, but the .meshx.store address is fixed.
02Branding

Logo & favicon

AssetRequirements
LogoPNG or SVG, transparent background recommended. Displayed in the store header at 36โ€“48px tall. Minimum 400px wide.
FaviconSquare PNG, minimum 128ร—128px. MeshX generates all required sizes automatically. If skipped, the first letter of your store name is used.

Drag and drop or click to upload. A preview shows how each asset looks in the header and browser tab.

03Theme

Brand colours

ColourUsed for
PrimaryButtons, links, active states, header accent. Pick your main brand colour.
BackgroundPage background. White by default โ€” change for a warmer or darker feel.
TextBody text colour. Near-black by default.

A live preview panel on the right updates as you adjust each swatch. You can also choose between light and dark header modes.

04Layout

Homepage layout

Choose how your storefront homepage is arranged. Three layout presets:

LayoutDescription
GridProducts in a responsive grid โ€” best for large catalogues. 3 columns on desktop, 2 on tablet, 1 on mobile.
Featured + GridOne hero product at the top, followed by a grid below. Good for highlighting a new release or best-seller.
CollectionsProducts grouped by collection (e.g. "New Arrivals", "Best Sellers", "Funny T-Shirts") with horizontal scroll rows. Best for curated shops.

You can change layout at any time from Storefront โ†’ Settings โ†’ Appearance.

05Content

About page

Write a short description of your store and brand. This appears on the /about page linked from the store footer.

FieldDetails
HeadingA short title, e.g. About Casual Classics
Body textRich text editor โ€” bold, italic, links, bullet lists. Keep it under 500 words for best readability.
Image (optional)A banner or brand photo displayed above the text. PNG or JPEG, recommended 1200ร—600px.
Skip
You can skip this step and add an About page later. The footer link won't appear until you publish one.
06Policy

Shipping policy

Tell customers how and when their orders will arrive. MeshX provides a starter template you can edit:

Starter template (editable)All orders are printed and dispatched within 3โ€“5 working days. UK delivery is via Royal Mail and typically arrives within 2โ€“3 working days after dispatch. International delivery times vary by destination. Tracking information is provided by email once your order has been dispatched.

Edit the template to match your actual dispatch times and carrier preferences. The shipping policy is linked from the store footer and shown during checkout.

07Policy

Returns & refunds

Similar to shipping โ€” a starter template is provided. Customise it to match your returns policy.

Starter template (editable)We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unworn, unwashed items in original condition. Please email us with your order number and reason for return. Refunds are processed within 5 working days of receiving the returned item. Postage costs for returns are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Legal
These are starting points, not legal advice. Ensure your policies comply with UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 (or your local equivalent). MeshX is not liable for your store's policies.
08Payment

Connect Stripe

Customers pay via Stripe Checkout. You need a Stripe account โ€” MeshX never holds your money.

  • Click Connect Stripe โ€” you'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow
  • If you already have a Stripe account, sign in; otherwise create one (takes ~5 minutes)
  • Once connected, you'll see a green Connected badge with your Stripe account ID
  • Payouts go to your bank account on Stripe's standard schedule
Fees
Stripe charges 1.5% + 20p per UK card transaction (2.5% + 20p for international cards). MeshX does not add any additional transaction fee on Storefront sales.
Required
Your storefront cannot go live without a connected Stripe account. This step is not skippable.
09Products

Import listings

Pull your existing products into the Storefront. Two options:

SourceHow
Mockup Processor CSVIf you've already built mockups via Shop Manager โ†’ Mockup Processor, upload the exported CSV. Titles, images, variants, and prices are mapped automatically. See Listings Import guide.
ManualSkip the import and add products one by one from Storefront โ†’ Listings โ†’ Add product.
Tip
You can always import more products later. Starting with 5โ€“10 listings is fine โ€” you don't need your full catalogue to go live.
10Domain

Custom domain (optional)

Connect your own domain (e.g. shop.casualclassics.co.uk) instead of using the free .meshx.store address. This step is optional โ€” you can do it now or later.

Full instructions are in the Custom Domain guide. The short version:

  1. Enter your domain in the wizard
  2. Add a CNAME record at your DNS provider pointing to stores.meshx.uk
  3. Wait for DNS propagation (usually under 30 minutes)
  4. MeshX provisions a free SSL certificate automatically
11Launch

Go live

The final step shows a checklist of everything configured:

  • Store name and URL set
  • Logo uploaded
  • Brand colours configured
  • Homepage layout chosen
  • Shipping policy published
  • Returns policy published
  • Stripe connected
  • At least one product listed

Items marked with a tick are complete. Incomplete items show a link to jump back to that step.

When all required items are ticked, click Go Live. Your storefront is immediately accessible at your .meshx.store URL (and custom domain if configured).

Not permanent
Going live doesn't lock anything. You can unpublish your store, edit settings, add or remove products, and change your domain at any time from Storefront โ†’ Settings.
