SM Prerequisites

Setting up IXBrowser for MeshX Shop Manager.

IXBrowser is the anti-detect browser that powers multi-shop management across Etsy, eBay, Amazon and TikTok Shop. This guide covers installation, configuration, and connecting it to MeshX.

Shop Manager

Shop Manager is for printers and operators running multiple shops across Etsy, eBay, TikTok and Amazon โ€” including running shops on behalf of clients. Apply for access โ†’

Step 01What & why

What is IXBrowser and why do you need it?

IXBrowser is an anti-detect browser โ€” it lets you run multiple browser profiles, each with its own fingerprint, cookies, and session data. Each profile acts like a completely separate computer to the marketplace.

MeshX Shop Manager uses IXBrowser to:

  • Shop Profiles โ€” open and manage multiple marketplace shops from one machine
  • Listing Bots โ€” automate listing creation across Etsy, eBay, and TikTok Shop
  • Sale Scheduler โ€” run rotating sales across shops automatically
  • Messaging โ€” scan inboxes and reply to customers across all shops
Required
IXBrowser is required for Shop Manager's automation features. Without it, you can still use Shop Manager for order processing and mockup generation, but the listing bots, sale scheduler, messaging, and multi-profile features won't work.
Step 02Install

Download and install IXBrowser

  1. Go to ixbrowser.com.
  2. Click Download and choose the version for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
  3. Run the installer and follow the prompts โ€” default settings are fine.
  4. Launch IXBrowser after installation.
Step 03Account

Create your IXBrowser account

  1. Go to ixbrowser.com/register.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Click Send the Verification Code โ€” check your inbox (and spam folder) for the code.
  4. Enter the verification code.
  5. Set a password and confirm it.
  6. Invitation code โ€” leave blank (optional).
  7. Tick Read and agree Terms of use & Privacy Policy.
  8. Click Sign Up.
Step 03bProfessional plan

Upgrade to the Professional plan

Required
The free IXBrowser plan does not include API access. You must upgrade to the Professional plan to use IXBrowser with MeshX Shop Manager.
  1. Log into IXBrowser (desktop app or web dashboard).
  2. Go to Order & Recharge in the left sidebar (or click your plan name in the top-right).
  3. Select the Professional tab.
  4. Choose a plan duration:
DurationPricePer daySaving
1 Month$3.99~$0.13/dayโ€”
3 Months$10.77~$0.12/day10% off
6 Months$19.15~$0.11/day20% off
12 Months$28.73~$0.08/day40% off
  1. Select your payment method (PayPal, Visa/Mastercard, or crypto).
  2. Click Submit to complete payment.
  3. After payment, log out and log back in โ€” the Professional badge will appear in the top-right of the app.

Key point
The API row is the critical one โ€” without it, MeshX cannot communicate with IXBrowser. The free plan blocks API access entirely.
Step 04Local API

Enable the Local API

MeshX communicates with IXBrowser through its Local API. You need to enable it:

  1. In IXBrowser, go to Settings (gear icon, usually top-right or in the sidebar).
  2. Find the Local API or API Settings section.
  3. Toggle the Local API ON.
  4. Note the port number โ€” the default is 53200. Don't change it unless you have a port conflict.
  5. Make sure "Allow connections from localhost" is enabled (it usually is by default).
Critical
If the Local API is off, MeshX cannot open profiles, run listing bots, scan messages, or schedule sales. This is the single most common setup issue โ€” always check the API is enabled and IXBrowser is running on the same PC as MeshX before using Shop Manager automation.
Same PC
IXBrowser must be open and running on the same computer as the MeshX app. The Local API only works over localhost โ€” it cannot connect to IXBrowser on a different machine.
Step 05MeshX port

Set the API port in MeshX Shop Manager

  1. In MeshX, go to Shop Manager โ†’ Settings โ†’ General.
  2. Set the IXBrowser port field to match the port from Step 04 (default: 53200).
  3. Click Save.

MeshX now knows where to find IXBrowser on your machine. Every tool that uses IXBrowser (Shop Profiles, Listing Bots, Sale Scheduler, Messaging) reads this port setting.

Must match
The port in MeshX Settings must match the port in IXBrowser's API settings. If you change one, change the other.
Step 06First profile

Create your first browser profile

  1. In IXBrowser, click + New Profile (or Create Profile).
  2. Give it a name that identifies the shop โ€” e.g. Etsy - CraftyBoutiqueGB.
  3. Under Group, create or select a folder โ€” e.g. Etsy Shops.
  4. Under Note, add any useful info (shop URL, username, etc.).
  5. Leave the fingerprint/proxy settings at defaults unless you have specific requirements.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Open on the new profile to launch a browser window.
  8. In that browser window, log into your marketplace (e.g. Etsy) as normal. IXBrowser saves the session โ€” next time you open this profile, you'll already be logged in.
Step 07Organise

Organise profiles with groups and tags

MeshX Shop Manager reads IXBrowser's groups (folders) and tags to filter and sort your profiles. Set them up consistently:

Groups (folders)

Organise by platform:

  • Etsy Shops
  • eBay Shops
  • Amazon Shops
  • TikTok Shops

Tags

MeshX uses tags for status filtering. Apply one of these to each profile:

TagMeaningColour in MeshX
sellingActive shop, currently taking ordersGreen
activeShop is set up but not actively selling yetBlue
suspendedShop suspended by the marketplaceRed
pausedTemporarily paused by youAmber

In MeshX Shop Profiles, you can filter by tag (e.g. show only "selling" shops) and sort by tag, name, open status, or group.

Step 08Test

Test the connection from MeshX

  1. Make sure IXBrowser is running with the Local API enabled.
  2. In MeshX, go to Shop Manager โ†’ Shop Profiles.
  3. Your IXBrowser profiles should appear in the list โ€” name, group, tag, and status.
  4. Click any profile to open it. You should see the status change: idle โ†’ opening โ†’ success.
  5. If profiles don't appear or you get an error, check:
    • IXBrowser is running
    • Local API is enabled in IXBrowser settings
    • Port in MeshX Settings matches IXBrowser's API port
    • No firewall blocking localhost connections on that port
Success
If you see your profiles listed and can open one, the connection is working. You're ready to use Listing Bots, Sale Scheduler, and Messaging.
Step 09Tips

Tips for multi-shop operation

  • One profile per shop โ€” never log into two marketplace accounts from the same profile. Each shop gets its own isolated browser profile.
  • Keep IXBrowser running โ€” MeshX tools need IXBrowser active in the background. If IXBrowser closes, all automation stops.
  • Name profiles consistently โ€” use the format Platform - ShopName for easy identification (e.g. Etsy - CraftyBoutiqueGB, eBay - PrintHubUK).
  • Tag every profile โ€” the selling tag is especially important: Messaging defaults to scanning only "selling" shops, and the Sale Scheduler filters by tag.
  • Quiet Tabs mode โ€” when running Listing Bots, enable "Quiet Tabs" in the bot config to keep the browser in the background. This prevents the bot from stealing focus while you work.
  • Don't close profiles mid-bot โ€” if a Listing Bot is running on a profile, don't manually close that IXBrowser window. Use the Stop button in MeshX instead.
